Membership in Bay State Developmental Disabilities Nurse Network

Massachusetts nurses must continue to promote recognition of Developmental Disabilities Nursing as a specialty. By joining together and sharing our expertise with others we will elevate awareness of developmental disabilities nursing practice and enhance the quality of nursing services and supports to persons with developmental disabilities and their families. The individuals we support throughout their life span will be the real winners as we work with other professionals to achieve this goal.

Membership Benefits:
· Recognition and affirmation of the specials skills required to provide health care supports to persons with developmental disabilities and their families

· A pathway to network locally and regionally with other Developmental Disabilities Nurses

· An opportunity to network nationally with colleagues from a wide range of practice settings by also becoming a member of the national Developmental Disabilities Nurses Association (DDNA)

· An opportunity to celebrate the Developmental Disabilities Nursing specialty by preparing for the certification process in becoming a Certified Developmental Disabilities Nurse (CDDN)

· An opportunity to acquire ongoing high quality continuing education and earn continuing education credits at the bimonthly meetings and annual conference

· Reduced rate at BSDDNN’s annual conference

· Representation at the DDNA Network Council at the DDNA annual conferences

· An opportunity to expand your advocacy and leadership role

· The ability to effect change and enhance the level of developmental disabilities nursing practice

Membership Dues: $20 per year payable at the annual conference time, which is generally held in November
